Maria Barretta MA, LPC

Maria Barretta MA LPC began her journey in the field of Psychology at the age of 13, when she took her first college course and fell in love with the field. Her passion fueled her drive and she graduated from UC Davis with a Bachelors in Psychology at the age of 19, she went on to receive a degree in Early Childhood Education, as well as a Masters in Counseling from Oakland University. Maria has immersed herself in a variety of work environments, from working with young children and families to crisis mental health work with the incarcerated population for the Oakland County Sheriffs Department.


Through her exploration of human consciousness, she has assessed and complied similarities of psychological needs shared unilaterally among humans, as well as how to best approach these matters at various points in life. Decades later, her insatiable interest in the field has only grown as she dove into a variety of supplemental mental health training including Tony Robbins Mastery University, Psycho-Kinesiology education, MAGEN Informational Therapy, Theta Healing modalities, and Psychometrics. Her curiosity has led her to continuously seek and find answers to questions pertaining to psychology, mental health and well-being, and how these factors connect with all other aspects of life, from physical health, to societal structures and education, to quantum physics, to DNA lineage and much more. She has discovered an eclectic and novel approach to counseling that unifies viewing life from a multitude of perspectives resulting in a whole, complete vision for optimization of life and success in finding solutions along the path, quickly, and easily. Her findings after decades of experience is that everyone is truly the master of their own destiny, your happiness and success are within your grasp, and she will help you achieve the best life you seek, working together, to discover the most optimal solutions for your path.


Having been born and raised in Siberia, she is able to accept Russian speaking clients, she has likewise lived in California and traveled extensively around the world to broaden her understanding and gain new perspectives of different cultures.  Her interest and involvement in the community has enabled her to cohesively recognize and unite the needs of those around her.
